Care Vending & The Phoenix Group – Empowering Young People with Hearing Impairments
At Care Vending, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting meaningful initiatives that make a real difference. We are proud to collaborate with the Phoenix Group for Deaf Children & Young Adults, a Stevenage-based charity that provides essential support to deaf and hard-of-hearing children, young people, and their families across Hertfordshire.
As part of our commitment to community engagement, we have donated four laptops to The Phoenix Group to assist young adults in developing job skills and preparing for their futures. We are truly inspired by the life-changing work they do to empower young people with hearing impairments, ensuring they have the resources, skills, and confidence to thrive.

Building Awareness & Accessibility
Our partnership with The Phoenix Group goes beyond donations—we are actively working to promote deaf awareness and improve communication accessibility within our business and customer network.
Key Initiatives:
- Deaf Awareness Training – Phoenix is providing specialist training for our key staff, equipping them with deaf-friendly communication tactics and an introduction to British Sign Language (BSL).
- Vending Machine Awareness Campaign – We are developing video clips to display on our vending machines, helping to educate and engage a wider audience about deaf awareness and inclusivity.
- Community Experiences – Together, we have organised an exciting trip to a local theme park for families and deaf children, scheduled for the early summer holidays, offering a fun, inclusive day out for young people in the community.
